22-Year-Old MBBS Student Creates ₹15 Crore Brand from Only ₹5,000
No Business Degree. No Investors. Just Vision, Grit and a Dad Who Believed.
While the rest of the medical students were drowning under textbooks and night shifts, Harsh, a 4th-year MBBS student, was creating something astonishing a fragrance empire.
In 2023, with zero experience, a dream, and only ₹5,000, Harsh started Elite Elixir, a high-end inspired fragrance brand. Who partnered with him in this venture? His father, not an experienced entrepreneur, but someone who thought his son was obsessed with product quality and branding.
Now, Elite Elixir is no longer a mere startup. It has reached the ranks of India's top 5 inspired fragrance brands, worth ₹15 crore and growing.
The Spark Behind the Scent
It all started over late-night hostel debates and phone calls with his father. Harsh realized there was an evident void in India's fragrance market affordable, luxury-scented perfumes that didn't sacrifice longevity or character.
"Between cheap imitations and expensive designer fragrances, there was nothing in between," Harsh remembers. "I thought why can't we create international quality perfumes that are value for money but aspirational?"
And so was born Elite Elixir not in a boardroom but a small room with handwritten stickers, hand-blended fragrances, and the belief that value trumps vanity.
From Hostel to ₹3 Crore in Sales
Within a year, what began as an Instagram page and several test bottles became a full-fledged business. Harsh was able to ramp up production, source supply chains, create branding, and answer customers while attending medical college on a full-time basis.
"My day began with the hospital and ended in packing orders and operations management," Harsh relates. "I hardly slept but it never crossed my mind as work."
That hustle paid off. Elite Elixir achieved over ₹3 crore in revenue in just 12 months.
What Makes Elite Elixir Special?
The brand carved out a niche in the universe of "inspired scents" perfumes that bottle the essence of luxury global perfumes but reproduce them in India with top-notch ingredients, careful blending, and premium packaging.
The target audience? Young Indians who desire luxury without the cost. Individuals who recognize that fragrance is not merely a smell it's a persona.
"It's not about imitating," Harsh clarifies. "It's about making the luxury experience affordable."
The Family Factor
Behind each bottle of Elite Elixir is not only Harsh's passion but also his father's unwavering encouragement. Side by side, they scoured for ingredients, managed logistics, and experimented with hundreds of blends before the very first product ever went online.
"It was never about selling perfume," Harsh explains. "It was about showing that if you work smart and stay committed to quality, even ₹5,000 can turn your life around."
Balancing Medicine and a Million-Dollar Brand
Perhaps the most interesting aspect of Harsh's journey is this: he never quit. While balancing a ₹15 crore brand, he is still in classes, doing rounds at the hospital, and studying for final year MBBS exams.
"People ask me how I manage both," he chuckles. "The fact is, both are equal parts of me. One makes people healthy. The other makes them independent.
His story has encouraged thousands of young Indians to feel that you don't have to settle for either your degree or your dream.
From ₹5,000 to ₹15 Crore and Just Getting Started
What started as an experiment turned into a fully operational D2C business with its own manufacturing unit, in-house marketing, and expanding team. The Instagram handle of the brand @eliteelixir.in is now a go-to destination for perfume enthusiasts, with raving reports and regular sell-outs.
And that's just the start.
Elite Elixir is now ready to go global, launch new products, and create new standards for what Indian D2C brands can accomplish with clarity, courage, and consistency.
Last Word: A Story Bigger Than Business
Harsh's tale is not merely one of perfume. It's one of possibility. In a venture capital-obsessed, trend-virus-prone, Ivy League-hungry world, he reminds us that the greatest empires in history start with nothing but faith.
He waited neither for funding nor graduation. He just began.
"We didn't create a brand," he asserts. "We created a movement one fragrance at a time."
