Pooja Nadig and Shashank had the “safe” life. Corporate employment, fixed incomes, and a structured routine. But deep down, they knew they didn’t have what it takes for a cubicle.

With no experience in textiles and a family that knew nothing about fashion, they began looking for India’s handloom traditions. What they discovered left them in awe: incomparable quality of craftsmanship, richness of weaves, and artists whose creations had not gone out into the world.

So they wanted to correct that.

They started a small ethnic saree label out of their living room, packing the orders themselves, dealing with the clients personally, and understanding every bit of the whole business from the onset. Before they knew it, a few sarees they started with graduated to a full-fledged brand with a fan base.

The word spread, and the orders started

From Bengaluru to the US, more than 60,000 customers adored his designs.

And today?

Their saree business brings home a monthly income of 1 crore, and it is so because two individuals chose to bet on themselves. It was fortified by courage. It was designed by vision. It was reinforced by consistency.
